guage clusters!
can anyone post pics up of different stock gauge clusters from other model cars that could fit into a 89-91 civic? i want to see which ones look best.
I belive you can put ANY cluster you want in, but you will have to cross many if not all wires depending on what you want. My advice to do this correctly is buy a haynes manual for your car and the one the gauges came out of then you will have no problems.
Some quick insight about usdm guage clusters. 88-89 clusters cannot be swapped directly for a 90-91 cluster. I tried swapping in a 91si cluster 2 my 89si and ran into some problem. Tach, mph, and temp fuel guages worked, but the instrument lighting would not work, check engine light would stay on when seatbelt was not on! With some minor work, i got the cluster 2 work properly, but it was not a DIRECT SWAP!

here's mine, it's a 92-93 gsr cluster. actually i made this one "gsr spec". Jdm tachometer put in the usdm cluster and voila, 145mph speedo, 9500rpm tach, clean looking white back lighting.

I'm still working on my GSR cluster in my '90 Sedan, but when I'm done I'm fairly confident that it'll be one of the best looking ones I've seen on here.
Lots of cutting is needed to make it fit the sedans good, but I'm going the extra mile. I'll have pics up in the next few days.
