i have pics but no way to post them on the internet....they dont look good unless the car is tucking them or the fender is just above the tire. 45 fill the gap better on lowered cars that arent tucking and stock ride height cars.

IMO...

Agreed. I just borrowed a set of 16's for this weekend, and they have 40's on them, they look way too skinny, and my car is really low right now. I highly recommend 45's, it fills the gap much better.

The 205/55's looked huge because they are! 55 series is really too big for a 16in wheel on such a small car. I'm gonna snap a few pics today, I'll post one up later.

old pic of my hatchie.....tires are 205/45/16. 205/40/16s are ghetto (need to have car slammed to close up the gap) and are too skinny IMO.

anyone got any other photos? debating on either size, had 40 series before and no gap, (Slammed) im thinking the 45 series will fill the gaps, but the car would look higher

I completely forgot about this thread. I was going to post pics of 40's and 45's, and it slipped my mind, sorry about that.

Here's the 40's on my car, and I hated them!

And Opi's car with the 45's, which he loves...

it's a toss up, the 40's can look super wack on some cars and wheels, but there are some combos that they look good on

yea 40s are good if ur car is low low. but my car is on H&R sports and stock shocks and im on stock ls meshs. right now i have about a lil less than a 2 finger gap on all sides. so i should go with the 45s huh. plus 45s ride better dont they?

is 50's too big? seems like no one think of the 50's... i think 45's look perfect..but lots of people go for 50's on 16"... what do you guys think?

Damn,

was wondering how your car looked so low and didnt rub

I bought some 16x7 ET40 with 205/50's on them and they were way to big, caused major rubbing problems I decided i wanted to keep with my 195/50/15 RR which meant 195/45/16's . They look a little streched, but ride is good and no rubbing with 4 people + luggage

Would have gone for 205/40/16 if i could find em for less than £400 ($700+), lucky i didnt now

Do 205/45/16 clear ok on a slammed hatch, drop is around 45 on mine, cant be doing with getting the arches rolled
