im having a leak somewhere around the middle to the left of my engine bay. its a high screeching sound...as the idle bounces back and forth between 1,000-2,000 rpm...when i turn off the car...the screeching fades away and dies with it. Sound fimuliar?

ohhhhh thats your return line your talking about then. You disgard that when you install an aftermarket intake. it will plug into the box itself and then into the block below the throttle body.
that help?

That should go to the EGR valve, but I've never seen one on a Honda that was a "big black box". Do you have any better pics of the "black squary ****" in question? I'm thinking possibly the IAB(intake air bypass) solenoid and/or vacuum tank.

wow, 7 replies to get the right answer. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve. And yes, hooks up to your "breather box" on the block

The hose connecting to your PCV valve might be kinked. When I installed a Skunk2 intake manifold on my car, I used a piece of Autozone hose to connect the PCV with and it developed a kink and caused a stupid screeching noise and an idle fluctuation (although not as bad as you describe). Rigged a new hose from some OE Honda hose bits and all is well.

I meant to say PCV, I just kept thinking EGR for whatever reason. Oh well...hammer to me.

Well off to honda i go...get a new breather box and the other ***** to make it right. we'll see...

WTF ?
do you even know what a breather box looks like ?
obviuosly if I went to the site and got that pic I would have looked at the description
2. if you took time to think about it then you would realize that could not possibly work as a cam plug
a cam plug
