Get rid of the gutted cat and replace it with a high flow cat. Gutting your cat actually causes turbulent flow and isn't helping you at all.

i had the same problem on my last gsr. i had the greddy header, and the evo and it sounded ok (it was a bit loud) then i got a random tech cat and the noise level was just crazy. i kept on getting harassed by cops. that's why now if i get another hi-flo cat, i'm going to try and get a quieter exhaust than the evo.

Not to be an ***, but I had a very hard time understanding what the hell you wrote.

I wouldn't have gutted the cat. It sounds like that is what is making your exhaust note louder.

you're not being an ***, if you don't understand i'll restate.
i had a greddy header, with the greddy evolution exhaust on my last gsr. to me it was still a bit loud but not unbearable. then i replaced my stock cat with a random tech cat and the decibel level increased considerably to the point where i was harassed by cops. with my present car, i'm looking for that similar exhaust with the hi-flo cat setup. i do'nt want to go with the evo again because i felt it was a bit loud even with the stock cat, so now i want an exhaust that's quieter than the evo to begin with so when i do install the hi-flo cat, it wont be as loud. (i hope)

i keep hearing about those WS exhausts, and good things i might add. i'm now a believer and i think i'm going to go with the WS. that's exactly what i need' something quiet, even with a gutted or hi-flo cat.

you have made the right choice!
I had a fartcannon on my gsr and was getting pulled over all the time; then switched to the WS and a "test pipe" straight through syle cat, gained tourque and havent been pulled over in two years***knock on wood.
It sounds great.
