Thinking about getting an R.....
I have had it with my LS, dumped WAY too much money into it (1000 a month on average), and things keep going wrong. Its time to upgrade. Im really looking into getting an ITR. Is there anything special about different model years? Please elighten me.
I believe AC came standard on the 98's. Don't sell an Integra just to get another one. Move up in the rankings. Go for luxury.
get the R!!!
only an integra owner knows the feeling! if you want that pure raw style...the R's right up your alley. but if you got xtra dough, get a faster car. the R is merely the beginning of your line of cars. i'm sure when you're older, you'll say "i used to own an integra or integra type r! those were the days!" by then you'll be driving a souped up porsche looking at the next generation of "hot rods."
get it if you want it! i did...i told myself i had to get one no matter what!

I own an ITR, and I would trade it in for an IS300, or S4 anyday. What I'm trying to say is, you already owned an Integra, so why buy another one? Move up in class.

As someone mentioned....try to take your R to where its belong to ( road course & AutoX ) and you will have a different feel for your car forever !!

dont forget to mention that the 97 and under has a different front and rear fascia than the 98-01's too!
also, 00-01 have carbon fiber vents...
get IS300
guys even is300 doesnt have the handling as R but jeez look at the car, so luxury and the car aint slow, compare to R. and it's 3litre engine just think on high way how is R gonna catch up. on track is300 isnt bad too plus inside the car is 10 times quiet than R.
i would trade in my R for IS300anytime

I certainly hope that your grandma's Buick with 3.5liter V6 doesn't drive faster than your R.
[edit] hooked on phonics didn't work for me on the first try... err. [/edit]

hey, why don't one of you guys sell him your r's so you can go get a pos is300 and race against the r. then see how much you like them after that...

I'll trade you my IS300 for your type R. The IS300 is nice but I miss my type r soo much

i'm wondering how much longer you gonna stick with the IS
I looked at the IS300 and it is very nice, BUT I would never trade in my R for it. The 5 speed is pretty quick, it handles well and it has a ton of luxury features, but it never evoked the emotion that the Type R does everyday.
Now as for the S4, that car is awesome, I probably would trade my R for it, but luckily my wife traded her Civic for one instead. Simply awesome power in any gear!!
And I do not see any problem in upgrading within models. I went from a 90 LS to 95 LS to a 2000 R. Each time, I could not find a better car for the same price.

Well the IS is a lease but everyday i look at the classifieds and want another itr. Its depressing. I wish I can afford both, and since I can't, I play the lotto.

we'll considering what happened to your R
maybe you're better off without an R for now
until you can find a nice place to store one

yes, im def. getting an R now. Its going to take me about a month to make a couple more bucks to get it.
Also I want to remove a few things from my LS, fluidline radiatior, AEM rail, RC injectors, DC stainless exhaust, Greddy stainless headers, and a few other things to put on the R when I get it, what year ITR match up exhausts and headers with the 97LS? I know a few years do, just not sure which ones.
