So what does that do? Let you ajust the air/fuel mixture and such?

Hey Tony

Do they make a direct plug in for 94-94 GSR's or do you still have to splice the ECU wires?

So I guess you could throw away the V-AFC if you bought on of those huh? Just out of curiousity, what do you have done to your car to need on of those? I got the impression (when I seen it in a magazine) that it was for highly modifified cars. I did notice in the advertisment that they make them for ITR's now. How much was it if you don't mind asking?

No need for any piggy back units when you have the FC, Its great when used with a highly modded car, but can be used on lightly modded cars also, instead of say a VAFC. The nice thing is if you buy one of these, it plugs right in (no cutting wires) and will keep being a great tool no matter what mods you have.

Anyone want to buy a brand spanking new V-AFC? So you you are saying I could use that on my highly modded car then?

tony or austin, did you have to do any preliminary adjustments to the box itself ot get it to work (not talking bout adjusting fuel mods or anythign liek that) ? it came with the b16b program version, correct ? the reason I ask is because I really dont think my box works (bought used from someone locally who swears it works). So just trying to figure it out. There doens;t seem to be a fuel pump output coming on although the FPR signal bullet ont he display does get "solid" to show its giving power when you crank. Lemme know.

thanks,
Greg

Does the Power FC have any advantages over the new AEM EMU? Both are fully configurable replacement ECU's. The only difference I see is that the Power FC has the "Commander" to control all the variables while the EMU has some sort of port to allow computer software to control it. How much was the Power FC w/ the commander? I plan on buying Toda C's and need a diff. ECU to change my rev limit.

Greg...the one that I have is for the B18C. You may want to run a switch to the Fuel Pump to see if you can turn it on and get it up and running, that way you can find out if the PowerFC is bad or not.
Austin

Oh...and Tony, I sent you another file I hope that this helps you...

I think that is one of the advantages to the PowerFC vs any of the other standalones out there...tou dont need a laplop to program it...so that can save ALOT of money for someone who doesnt have a laptop.

True... but you can probably find an old beater laptop that can run windows 95 for around $200. I think the Power FC Commander normally sells for $700, I know you can find a laptop for that. Plus, the AEM EMU is priced at $1800, while every where I've seen the Power FC is priced at $2200 (unless you're in a group buy). Big savings.

PowerFC with commander is around $1300 shipped...advantage with the PowerFC is that you don't have to own a laptop(thank god since mine just died) Plus it comes with a base program for the JDM Type-R, which will get you up an running, you just need to retard some areas on the timing curve/add fuel to correct for the difference in our cars. Hell if I was going to spend $2000 on fuel management I'd spring for a SpeedPro, without boost control.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, I love the pics too Hey, I took the pictures with my Olympus digicam! HTRacing is this small crew that I created with members that are my car buddies.. hence, my email is HTRacing@hotmail.com! I put HTRacing there because it looks much more professional Well, don't you guys think think so as well? hehe

My base program is like Austin's as well...it's a B18C program, so I don't have problems like you had Vtec4gs. Right now, my APEXi VAFC is basically junk, but I do like the fact that I can monitor my engine with the VAFC, and use the PowerFC to tune. I might sell it later if I an in desperate need for cash

Vince, I am still playing around with the settings as you can see! I am under the help of Austin, and I am still learning on how to tune it. I guess you have the ask the question later.

Thanks Austin, I got your email. Very important and helpful! I think I would be stuck on the spot if you didn't offer to help me. This one's for you

I got enough of Yoshio's chip... I paid $550 CAD for him to tune my car, but he didn't even tune my partial throttle, and he isn't willing to give me my settings that I have in the chip. WTF... I just fugging dumped $550 CAD in the sea....
And of course, I will be getting more than 220 WHP after I tune this baby... it's 100% better than the Techtom chip that I was running on.
