anyone heard anything good or bad about motegi rims???

 

They are heavy

 

The ones I like are the FF6 and the MR8 there only 16 lbs. what would you recommend for a cheap wheel that light??????

They are pretty heavy, and personally I haven't seen any models that look that good.

FYI: They are made by American Racing.

 

damn shamoo didn't know that but now it all makes since...

 

the Mr7 without the center caps in flatblack are the only decent ones i ever seen and they dont come like that.. and yes they are heavy, expensive and made by american racing.. also the featured wheel compan in Fast and furious.. but they do have a sick integra which isnt even on motegi.. its on c10's

Motegi rims are around $110...Expensive??? Are you poor? THey are 1 LBs more then gram lights!!

 

hell yea i'm poor. **** that. why buy ugly rims which cost liek 110 each being 440 dollers for 4 when i can pay 412 bucks and get Rota c8's or somthing way nicer.. 110 is expensive for ugly rims. also pepboys sell motegis for liek 170 each.

those motegi look decent in the 3rd pic i posted but they were special colored and ****. if u buy them they never look that good

 

Why Buy Chit Rotas...Gram lights are better if you can fork out the dough. Motegi might be sold at pepboys buy they are still a better wheel than Rota...most real racer would agree with that

 

what REAL racers are u talking about? real racers wouldnt buy motegis they would buy real Rnrs or some sw388's and rotas are as strong as other wheels..

I not tryin to start chit wit you but, I'm just voicing my opinion. What I mean by real racers are ones who go out ever night racing on stuff that you can get from you local auto shop and they are still kicking everyones ***!

 

o i know.. this is a car fourm.. everyone has their own opionions and facts and the way they can state it.. no **** here.. and yea if they would go out everynight i think they would spend more money on some decent lightwight rims rather then motegi. and no one goes out racing everynight unless their stupid little street racers..

 

It depend where you live... in a lot of areas people do race every night. You would be suprised. Here in my town we race on friday and saturday like most people but where I used to live they race every night! I didn't say they all raced on motegi. I sarted this post tryiong to find out if they were any good or not. I got my answer. I used to run on ADR rims, I kept hearing that Motegi made some decent rims.

my friend has montegi's on his gsx and to be honest, they are heavy as ****.. and adding a tire to the whole package, doesnt make it any lighter.

theres alot of rims to choose from that look nice, i.e.

ROTA
SPOON
SSR
BBS (forged )
OEM HONDA/ACURA
VOLK
KONIG
?ADVAN? RACING
ETC.
ETC...

just look bro.. dont get a rim that looks "loud".

blk w/ polished lip, all blk, polished blk, bronze, some silver colores are all good too!!!
