Need Wiring Help for d16z6 swap into 1991 dx
I hope this is in the right place...
Okay when I am rewiring the vehicle for MPFI am I just playing with the Wires coming out of the dash harness plug on the ecu or the actual ecu pins themselves?
I am going to be using a p28 ecu and a ecu adapter from locashracing.com... so in order for this to work with the D16Z6 engine I first need to rewire my harness to accept MPFI- correct? After I (assuming I am just cutting and splicing/rewiring the dash harness and plug) rewire my car for mpfi all I have to do it plug my harness into the adapter pigtail harness and then into my p28 ecu right?
Thanks

not entirely. There is more to do because of the obd1 changover.
1. add wires for the vtec
2. add 3 wires for the o2 sensor (obd1 uses a 4-wire sensor, you can re-use the wire for the 1-wire sensor and just add 3 to it)
3. Swap dizzy plugs.
4. If you use obd1 injectors you have to NOT ad a resistor box when you do a MPFI Conversion. if you want to use obd0 injectors u have to ad the resistor. might be easier to use obd1 inj.)
Good luck w/ your project.
also, http://www.vtecfrog.com has obd0 -> obd1 for 130ish$
