Default got the y8 into my rex

thanks to all you guys i got my y8 in and running in my rex it took a total of like 10 hours. the only question i had was i think i read that your supposed to elongate the holes on the distributor but i dont see why it works fine. i got a question has anyone had any problems with the hood hitting the motor. i have an aftermarket hood and it hits on the nipple on top of the valve cover. i was wondering if i could cut it off. another question i had was how long can i run the motor without vtec.

also if anyone knows of somewhere cheap i can get a apex vtec controller, please let me know.

thanks again for all the help he scoots even without vtec.

yah the dizzy bolts up fine.

and running without vtec is not a problem at all.

your best bet is to go obd1 and use a p28.

but if you just want the vtec to hit, vafc would be ok. ebay has some.

Yes, my stock hood just clears that part on the valve cover. I used the other one on the front for the ground wire.

You're not hurting anything running without vtec.
