Default Used trannie swap

Might be lookin for a new/used tranny due to not having a reverse. You can read about that here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=915012 please give me insight on prospective problems.

Anyways my question for this post is first off do you guys know of any trustworthy place to get used trannies? I got a 96 EX 5 spd. I found a couple locally for like $275 w/1 yr. warrantee.

Also how much would it cost me total (driveshafts, mounts, and what else?) to drop a limited slip tranny into it and what cars can i steal it from. Preferably a straight bolt on if they exist.

thanks again

What you need is an H23 tranny + Quaife LSD.

Last I recall, it's direct bolt-on w/o any need for driveshafts or mounts, unless you're doing an auto to manual conversion, which it looks like you're not.

Need some answers from all you out there.

I can grab an H23 tranny from a 92-96 Prelude Si/Se right? Gear ratios should be between and H22 and and my F22B1 right (anyone know where I can find those by the way)?

Also is the H23 a straight bolt? I can reuse the same driveshafts and mounts right?

Yes, everything w/ H & F trannies is straight bolt-up replacement.

cheapest would be m2b4 tranny (h22a lsd) for about $1000 + install, otherwise h23/f series tranny would be 2-300 + 800(very low price) for quaife/kaaz lsd + labor to open tranny and install....
