burnt cd deck?
so my friend and i had my deck laying around which didn't have the harness to get hooked up to the car and i wanted my cd out. So, what he did was he took some of the wires and let it touch the battery *he said this will make the deck turn on and we can take out the cd* i asked him u are sure u know what u are doing. he said yea. so he did it and i heard a POP and some smoke came out of the cd deck. so we hooked up the deck up to the car to see if it still works. the light comes on, it displays the cd and all that, but i dont hear sound?. even when its on RADIO i dont hear the buzzing sound or anything. is the amp inside the cd deck burnt? thanks guys
yup the pop probably means somethin went out so if ur good with electronics try and fix it. However if its a cheap deck just scrap it or if not find an authorized repair dealer and they can straighten u out most major brands have service people in major cities.
thanks for some of the input. anymore help from anyone else? any other possibilites? thanks guys. the deck is about 179.99 stupid panasonic. hahah
how much would it range to have a deck fixed by authorized repair dealers. My deck is all good, it just can't recognize the cds. it says it's on backwards and mechanical error. Its a knwd.
