Default LX header to EX header swap

Has anyone done this before? I only ask because i've heard of it before. Any noticible gains? I only ask because a guy on here is selling for for like $10 bucks.

Another question i have is he might not have the heatshield for the EX header. Anyone know if my LX heatshield would bolt on?

One last question. The header looks like it will not have the down pipe with it. Any problems bolting the EX header into my LX down pipe?

Thanx

lx downpipe will not bolt onto the ex manifold. the ex is 4-2-1 and lx is 4-1.

make sure you buy a EX downpipe in order to get it to fit... and NO the Lx heatshield does not fit, but you can buy one from TASauto.com for like 20$'s... they say the 97 heat shield dont fit, but i bought it from them and the shield fit perfect. you will need to extend some wires for the o2 also...

but if you meant 10$ for the manifold + pipe, then yes its a direct bolt on with only the o2 wires to extend.

If i remember correctly the all CB7s had their o2 sensor bungs on the header only. And the later CDs were the ones that had different o2 sensor bungs from the LX and the EX

i forgot to ask what year car you have?

but im 100% sure for 5th gens they swap with no problem...
and if the bungs are different, all you might have to do is splice the wires.
