Default Cheaper Tranny Fluid same as Gm syncromesh

Since Gm and Bg synchromesh are the same, I would like to tell you people about something that is the same and only 5 bucks a quart.
It's pennzoil syncromesh, I put this in my b16 hatch and it worked wonders on the tranny.
Only 4.99 at autozone.

Just an FYI

I read a pretty techincal post on HT earlier this month saying the syncromesh fluids wear a little harder on your tranny then the regular Honda MTF. Supposedly they cause harder wear and tear on your tranny internals because of the additives used in the oil.

I'm not saying not to use the Syncromesh, but I would do some research and see what applications it is best suited for. (track, daily driver, autox).

... This is true, due to the fact that GM and other domestic companies usually use heavy weight gear oil ex: 75w-90..

where as HMT is something like 5w-30

There is a difference... Dont use syncromesh...

HMT fluid

I don't know about you but I don't like the idea of just putting 'motor oil' in my expensive LSD cable trans.

I use Redline MTL, never had a problem in over 100,000 miles. Its a 99 Si hydro too, which i've been told, "has bad synchro's".
