Default b series intake on a d series motor?

I have a 99 civic ex with the stock d16y8 motor, my question is does anyone know if a b series (most likely b16) aftermarket intake would fit on my motor and in my bay, I honestly don't see why it wouldn't, but would like to know for sure before i go out and get one, I ask b/c I want the j's racing intake, but all i see is the j's for a b series motor...anyone who knows this it would be greatly apprecated

im pretty sure it will if not positive. cause all you have to do is use the hose clamp thing to attach it to the TB. makes sense to me

well only difference would be the diameter of your TB and the diameter of the intake. but with some custom fabrication you can do anything

The cylinder head bolt pattern for the intake manifolds are entirely different from each other on a D-series vs. B-series. It will not fit and if it did, it would most likely cause a loss of low end torque on a stock bottom end.

all it is is piping and a filter... i did the reverse, a 94 ex intake (from my old motor) on a b18b, it works just fine

it will work, it might take some dickin around like egb18tubro said, but it definatly will work. I got a AEM cold air for free from a friend with a b18, and i just cut it to fit as a short ram, and it works perfect..

as long as it aint the a gsr. the manifold on that is different. unless u were to by an aftermarket IM then it would fit. but b16 would bolt up just fine

People.....He's talking about the intake TUBE. Not the whole intake manifold.

You might have to do a little bit of work with a hacksaw if push comes to shove but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

there you go. it's cheaper than J's, and its the same thing, plus it's made for D's so there's no guessing, it will fit
