I had some JBL GTO series 6x9's in my old car and everyone thought I had subs in the trunk. I loved them so much I pulled them out to install in my new civic. Whoever buys the grand am gets to bump big jensen now lol.

negative, my JVC head unit puts out 200w RMS x 4. That alone was enough to make the trunk rattle and vibrate my seatbelt.

you have model number? Of the current product line 200W max power (50W X 4) seems to be the highest power output.

ive been looking around the net and 135bucks seems a little steep for the JBL Competition series. Well all i could find were GTO series. I dont know if its the same. I called the guy and told him to give me a model number. All the ones i saw where discontinued.

What are some other good 6x9s out there?

I want good mids, highs, and lows. Head unit is a 50x4

i have some 6x9 alpine type s 6x9s in little sealed enclosures, powered off the head unit they sound AMAZING! ive never heard a better speaker powered off a HU alone. the enclosures really give it a better bassy punch and its an overall great speaker. id be willin to let em go, give me a PM if you are intested.

SHAMELESS PLUG!!!!!!

nah...i dont need it... i am getting rid of them because my 6.5 type r components overpower them completely and im puttin in a 10" 4 ohm DVC type r in a sealed box powered by an MRD-M500 so i really have no need for em at all.

they did when i had mt 6.5 in type s coaxials... but the type r compenants are too loud for the HU powered 6x9's.

then amp them then

ohhh i forgot, rear spakers are a waste huh?

do me a favour, after you instll your subs/amps for bass play the set with just the front speakers

then play it with the rear 6x9s powered as well, and you will see the difference

front and rear speakers

why? all i need from the rear is bass...and the sub will do that... plus my components give me plenty of mid bass, so the 6x9's are outta here. really no use for em.
