How do I get my sidemarker light and my turn signal light to alternate?

How do I get my sidemarker light and my turn signal light to alternate?
Right now the turn and sidemarker lights up at the same time, but I want them to alternate. Can anyone explain how to do this?

use same positive cable and different negative location. i mean two different negative cable for each light and place them apart from each other. i hope this help.

alright! there are 2 wire to each light bolt plug. one + the other -. cut the - wire and place it to any ground in the car, make sure that the metal is clean first and that the - wire from both plug are not in the same location.
