Auto-X classification? 92 hatch w/re-sleeved block
Quick question, can you run in SM with a re-sleeved block? (85mm). I know Honda/Acura are considered equivalent, but can you overbore more than .020? Can't you go up to 3.0 liters?
Second question is on interior, I have the back panels and carpeting removed, as well as the rear seats (which is allowed). The front seats forward have all interior panels, including headliner installed, minus carpeting. I have seen a couple hatches in SM (divisional) without the rear interior racing. So I was a little confused. BTW, I have a Kirk Racing roll bar.
If I can't run in SM, where do I bump to?
For a list of my mods, check out my Bio.
Thanks for any and all help.

To stay in SM you must have a complete interior EXCEPT for the rear seats and the carpet attached to the back of them. Thats all you can remove.
and... thats about all i know

I figured I needed the interior, but was hoping I didn't. Didn't have a clue about the engine though, thanks.
So without the interior, I get bumped to? EP? Arrows in the rulebook point to ASP first then whatever prepared category your car falls under.

I think my path was SM and then into DMod... I didn't really research it though since I'm not really much of an AutoX warrior. The car is much more prepped for roadcourse and thats where I'm motivated to spend the time/money.
Chad-you would get bumped from SM to either DM or EM. If you are still using the B18C crank, you should be about 1979cc. If using an LS/B20 crank, you would apx 2020cc and over the DM minimum displacement.
DM is for under 2000cc and EM is over 2000cc. If you are over 2000cc in EM you must weigh 1500lbs or more. DM minimum weight is 1000lbs. Both weights may be re-worked for next year.
In short, put the interior panels back in an have fun in SM. A B20VTEC EG hatch took 2nd at the Peru tour last weekend. The EG can be a great SM car. Chris Travis took 4th last year at Nationals in his SM EG-Swap.
