yep, finally the new Civic Type-R arrives to the dealership here in Reykjavik. They got 3, 2 silver and 1 black. They are gona show them on saturday and guess who´s gona be there I´m gona try to get my friend with his digital camera to shoot some pics and I´ll post them after the weekend. But test drives are a very unlikely possability, cause of the car whooping price , 30,000 US $ !!!!

 

How is an ITR over there?

 

6 of them in the whole country. They were only imported by Honda in the years 98 and 99. 2 were sold in 98, 1 CW and 1 Milano Red, then in 99 3 were sold, all CW and I own one of them. They were all sold at 2,700,000 ikr which is about 27500 $, mine was expensiver, it was a show car, sold with tint,CD, stock Honda-Enkei 15" wheels and 17" Accord Type-R wheels, price sold new was 32,000 $. A guy that I know imported one CW in December 2000 from Germany, now for sale for 25,000. $. ITR´s are very unique here and it´s been days since I´ve seen another one, but the majority of performance cars are Impreza Turbo´s.. as u can see of the live2cruize meeting pics that I´ve posted often in Kill Stories

 

They may only have a handfull of ITR's, but throw a rock and you'll hit a good looking woman!!

no prob with theft, the country is to small but vandalizm is something that has been going on, and my cars been a victim to..

 

My dealer promised me a testdrive in a new CTR next week.......

Although I think the price tag for this car here in Iceland is way of the mark at $27.700. That is probably why they haven't imported more than 3 cars so far. And not to ruffle any feathers but I can't say that the car looks sweet, actually I think it resembles a family space wagon. Compared to the price tag I would rather go and buy the new WRX for $29.000 than the new Civic. The WRX gives you way more for your money.

RatedR, which colors did you guys got for the CTR? - we have the black, grey and red, not white

 

dealership got silver and black... dunno about other colors but white is sweeeet! The car is starting to grow on me and I think it looks nice. There are some pics at vtec.net of a white Si, and with almost stock exterior it looks kinda desirable
