cai short or long lol

Default cai short or long lol

after searching around I found some say shot air intake some say long does anyone have any insight to this thanks

long air sucks in the nice cool air from outside the engine bay. It's almost always the better choice.

a short ram will give you better throttle response however, but not as cool of air...its really kind of a coin toss...

i heard having a CAI will give you more tope end power. don't know if it is true or maybe i'm just bs'in

depends on if you want .3 horsepower at 4000 RPM and .7 at 8000 RPM or if you want .5 at 4000 and .3 at 7200 RPM.

cold air intake - obviously colder air, makes more power most of the time (maybe only a small amount)


ram air intake - quick throtle response, cheaper, and you wont hydrolock your motor. i know a couple people who have done this. dont think its just a myth and it wont happen to you, and dont give me any of that bypass valve BS. my friend just hydro locked his motor with one installed.

yah i went through a puddle once in a thunderstorm adn i thought i hydro locked my motor, it like broke up for a couple seconds so i pulled in a parking lot and just let it idle for awhile.... short ram for the piece of mind
