If anyone has in-car of The Glen, I'd love to take a gander. Since I won't know till I get there if I'm running the short or long course, any and all vids would be appreciated.
Check out http://www.sonny2.com ... at the bottom there is a link to TRACK - he has 3 laps on the vid.
Oh, the laps are of Full Course (with Boot)

Devil Chicken does - from his Enduro. Maybe he will post them .. MATT!!
(Greg - Jeff Koehler will be at HyperFest, you Instructing or just racing? He probably needs you to wring out his 240sx again

Gregg,
Right click and save http://jpkofod.lunarpages.com/fastlap.mpg It's the long course in 03. Hasn't changed since.
It's from the old days. And if you do a 2:08 on the long course with your new engine I am having them take it apart
I picked up my car today and told James you wanted your engine tuned for absolute reliability (minimum 5 race seasons). He laughed
Regards,
Jon
PS: I'll see if I can dig up any race footage.

I don't know if you would call what I did "wringing it out," more like stretching its legs a little. His car would rock w/ an LSD (and tires that weren't square vs. round).
I just planned on driving this weekend, but if the mood hits who knows.

2:08 !!! That's Grand Am territory, what the hell are you driving in that video. It sure ain't a HC car.
Just curious what you were hitting on the back straight. Looks like at least 140 +.

Five seasons??? I wish I could make payments over that period (James???). It's funny that you mention that 'cause I asked James on Friday to leave out a plug or two or perhaps swap my old motor into your car.
Thanks for the vid and I'll see you this weekend.
BTW--is the story about your motor's compression as accurate the urban myth known as "Kofod's car runs 26's at Summit?"

Gregg,
Boy I sure miss those days
!!! Screw up an apex......no problem tap the pedal and use that 420 horsepower.
Now its miss the apex..........and Ginsberg pulls 5 car lengths on me!!!
The Glen is my favorite track especially in that car. There are a ton of places to pass at the Glen on the long course. It's even better in the wet during a race. It really seperates the fearless (read dumb) from the kiddies.
Just stay away from the blue armco........and NO it won't match your car's paintjob so stay off the railing.
MCoupster, that day I was hitting about 150 on the back straight. Car was loose and the tires had seen better days. On those rare days where my wife has been kind enough to loan me my "*****" back I have hit just under 160 on the back straight and about 130 on the front straight. Best time in that car (95 F355 Challenge) was a 2:06.55 last October.
T1 Vipers and ZO6's run about 2:07-2:08 while Porsche Cup cars do it in the 2:02-2:04 range.
