Default 3rd Gen (FD) RX-7 Rims on a 5th Gen SH.

I'll post the pictures as soon as I can figure out my friends digital camera (or computer).

...but anyway, I put them on the car last night. 16x8 and 15lbs. The look is very aggressive, but I didn't like the 225/50/16 Falken Ziex's that are on there. They have an odd lip that sticks out about 1/4"-1/2" past the rim and is rubbing only under extremely hard cornering. Other than that, they are great. and the H center caps out of my SH fit right in the middle and look stock.

You can really see the extra 1.5" of width you get from this setup. I didn't feel any gains on the butt dyno, but I'm sure I'll hit the track soon to see if I got anything out of the 20lb drop in rotating mass.

Sorry guys, pics won't come for awhile. I have the pics on the camera, but the computer is funked and won't accept the pictures. I'll revive the thread when can actually produce some pics.

aww dammit... I wanna see pics really freakin' bad. So with the 8" width you don't have any rubbing issues aside from the tires that were on it?? I'm getting myself a set of those rims man...

The offset is +50mm

I'm taking the digicam home to see if I can get it to load on another computer...so hopefully I'll have some pics up tomorrow night.

They're the factory 5 spoke alloys if I'm not mistaken, they come on every FD, no?

Can't wait to see the pics.... Becareful with those rims if you plan on autocrossing or track racing with them. Those rims have a reputation for being quite brittle. Personally, I've seen a few people in my autocross club that have them and have crack. (They were on a MKIII supra, and 1st gen talon). People say there are two different versions (one of which is brittle, and one that isn't) but, I've seen both crack.

Oh yeah? Well I have both complete cars in MY driveway. Wife's car='94 RX7.

J/K Anyway, I never thought of bolting her wheels on my car (or vice versa?).

To be more specific about the different castings:

Mazda RX7 FD3S Cast 16x8 15.4 lbs
Mazda RX7 FD3S - PFD Cast (Brittle) 16x8 13.8 lbs

Please put up some pics! I don't have enough jacks or stands to put both cars up in the air at once! Good idea about the center caps, too.

...and what's wrong with the multiple colors? It's all paint and it is done tastefully.

I've got a freind who is trying to sell his set. He has the non-brittle ones. They are in fairly good shape, but not perfect. He wants $200 + s/h if anyone is interested. PM me for more details.... or pics.
