deck removal help.
How would I go about taking out the head unit in my 04 civic ex? I've always let bestbuy do it. I have an aftermarket deck that besybuy installed for me. I said I wouldn't be getting subs for a while, But I've been made an offer I can't refuse. 1500 watt amp, two 12 inch dual subs (May upgrade later), box, all needed wiring, all for 300 bucks. He said he already has it planned out... He's going to report his car stolen, and claim insurance on everything.... Not the smartest thing to do, but I don't really care.
Is there any tutorials out there how to remove the deck?

okay there are a few ways to go about this.
1. if you have an aftermarket radio now...the dash kit just snaps into
your dash openning. Look to make sure there are no gaps around the radio.
If so..see #2
2. The radio can be ISO Mounted..screwed into factory bracket. If this is the case
the climate housing has to be pulled out..your dash is snapped in by clips and
maybe an 8 mm nut beneath. Tour have to remove the lighter housing and
depending if your car is a stick or automatic car the console is a combo
of snaps and screws...take your time.
3. Buy the amp kit and pay Best Buy the aprox $60 ( or less ) to do the work for
you. Then all you have to do is mount amp and plug in signal and power leads.
I suggest this route if you want the job done with least amount of hassel on
your part and are worried of damaging your car.
