Which Quick Release?
Can anybody recommend me a high quality quick release? price does not matter. also, what are the specific differences between the hex, Spline, and ball bearing?
i am currently interested in the following. feel free to add any input on your experiences with various types of quick releases.
Splash

Signal

Works Bell
RapfixI

RapfixII

Sparco

SPA technique

Esses

my main concern is deciding for a quick release that is made of hi-material with little or no play. i dont want to go cheap on a quick release that can cost me my life.

those are all very nice quick releases, but imo, it brings the steering wheel much to close to the driver. to fix this, you could get the splash boss made specifically for these hubs, they are shorter in length

i agree with the play. i had to deal with one for a week. but on a side note, the quality is very nice over others i seen. i think i would buy a signal if i were to buy one.

Agreed. Absolutely the best product I've bought for my car in a while. No play whatsoever, and excellent quality. I got mine through Evasive Motorsport, got it really quick, and I've been using it for about a month, very nice piece.

The NRG unit is exactly the same. YOu can put the wheel on anyway you want, and it will lock into place when you rotate it automatically.
With the wheel off...

im kinda new to this stuff... so when you buy these quick release hubs, they have to be compatible with a certain steering wheel so u can use it right? its not a universal thing?
so all you need when you want this setup is a quick release hub and an aftermarket steering wheel that works with it?
sorry for the noob question.. not familiar with this stuff.
