Does anyone know if the genuine Mugen lip (96-97 models) is made of fiberglass or urethane? I know its discontinued (for all those who doubt the relevance of this question) but I have a chance to get my hands on one from a friend in Japan. I hate fiberglass though and don't want to get near it if its fiberglass.

 

i wouldnt care what the true mugen one is made out of, just stick with poly no matter what

 

unfortunately, it's made of fiberglass...this was the era that mugen only used fiberglass and didn't start making their aero kits out of carbon fiber...mugen is good stuff though and wind tunnel tested...the 96-97 lip spoiler was also on the castrol mugen racing accord which won in its class both years it competed...

 

Yeah it is nice but I can't really bring myself to buy something made of fiberglass (especiallly that is so expensive). I appreciate the info though

 

If you dont care, you can get a poly one from ebay for like 100 shipped, just a knock off.

Thats the EK Mugen style, not the CD style.

the real moooogen fron lip looks nothing like the knock off.

Not everybody has a friend in japan. he wants one but cant cuz the guy wont accept paypal so he's outta luck.
