I recently installed the halo projector headlights on my 96 accord. Everything should be hooked up right and it all works except the low beams keep popping. I figured it must be becuase the projectors use h3 and the stock was 9006 bulbs and it may be too much wattage? This is just a guess though. The bulbs sometimes last a while and sometimes pop right away. The fuses also pop. I need to know if there is any kind of harness you may need or something else I can get or do to make them work better. If this is so where can I get such a part or what needs to be done. If anyone has had this problem or knows what to do let me know. Any advice on this will help.

Are your new H3 Bulbs a higher wattage than the original 9006 bulbs? Could be the problem. Your new bulbs may be drawing too much power. If so try a lower wattage H3 bulb. I know they come in different wattages.

I have headlights with a 9006 to H4 conversion harness and have no problems with blowing H4 bulbs (the wattages are the same).

 

I have tried different bulbs and had no success so far. I will check the wattage. The h4 high beams work fine. Is there a harness I can get for the h3 conversion? Or do you have any other suggestion?
