Help me assemble a parts list for Automatic to Manual Swap RSX 6 speed
Helping a friend with conversion. Parts that he ordered and apparently has on hand are:
Type R 6 Speed
Type R clutch and flywheel
LSD
I'm betting that he needs:
Pedal box
Slave cylinder and Master Cylinder
Lines for both
Shifter console/mechanism
Shift Cables
What Am I forgetting? Are there any electrical issues caused by disabling the Auto-tranny computer?

just make one out of a switch from radio shack, by mounting it where the shifter moves to get into reverse. thats what i did when i converted my old car from auto to a 5spd.

you cannot use an ECU from an auto car once it is manual
you will have to get a new ECU that came from a manual car
you can also use one from a 5-speed, but the reverse lockout will not work

We are encountering many trouble spots along the way here. For anyone who has the reason to consider this swap I can add to the content here by listing some parts that we had forgotten. The list may not be complete as we haven't been recording part numbers.
Trans mount (custom) Blank out on the frame rail is welded over on Auto-cars
New front and rear engine mounts
Shifter cables
Shifter cable capture clips
Center console (boot ring unavailable as a stand-alone part)
Boot, shift ****
Hard pipe to slave cyl
slave cyl
Axles from 6 speed
slave cyl hose
clutch
flywheel
to bearing
pedal box
intermediate axle shaft
6 speed hubs (splines are different and reside on larger diameter axles)
6 speed ECU
Shifter assy
and we don't have the car started yet..
Anyone who's done this please chime in on electrical greamlins, surprises.. It would be most helpful.
We may sometime need an engine harness? Not sure yet.
