Default question about my 6x9 Pionner TS-A6995

I have a pair of Pioneer TS-A6995 Its 300 watts and a 4 way speaker. These have really really nice and clear sounds but it lacks the bass I mean i barley have bass to be honest. I install some pioneer 6 x 9 into my friends hatch its 250 watts 3 way and it has a very very very nice bass. I was wondering why his bumps more than my? Also how can i improve my bass without buying an amp.

You probably can't improve it w/o buying an amp.

if you wanna still just run em off the HU, then get some alpine type s 6x9 3 ways in little sealed boxes....they hit pretty hard for a 6x9 in my car. i can barely hear em over my 6.5 type r seperates now tho... (they are seperately amplified obviously those seperates rock!

Are you sure that the 6x9s are wired right, test, switch the poss. and neg. on one of the 6x9s , if that works if not get an amp, and I may be wrong but I think 300 watts is a peak rating, if not, its no wonder you get no bass off HU power, but I think a 2x50 or 2x75 watt rms amp will work fine.

hope this helps. 94
