how do you get the bugs off ???
I clean them before they have a chance to get baked on. I always wipe the front of my car after every nighttime drive, and I always at least check after day drives.
If you wait too long to remove the bugs you will never get them off. I work at a Nissan dealership and we got in a brand new 350Z that had bugs all over the front bumper from the transport truck. They were stuck on there so good that they didn't even come off after being wet-sanded. Bird **** will do the same thing to paint!

I wash my car normally, and it seems to do the trick perfectly.
Unless this is because I wash my car every two or three weeks so the bugs are still a little "fresh."

Damn me too. 10 grit sand paper and wipe gently with gasoline to seal the surface
Seriously, goo gone or bug off should work fine. If not, it must have ruined your paint already.

If you guys are interested I know people from StarShield Armor. They use 3M clear film and they cover your front bumper and headlights, even carbon fiber hoods. It's easily washable and will protect your paint from fading and chipping from bugs and rocks. Also it saves your headlights from cracking as well.
