I just recently swapped the d16z6 in my 91 dx and the fuel cut off changes it's mind all the time when to cut the fuel sometimes it is 6800 sometimes 7400 can anyone please help me I have changed to 3 different computers and the computer I changed to I drove the car first and the tach went to 74 everytime and so I swap it and it still does the same thing please help thanks

 

get an aftermarket tach of some sort, OEM tachs are usually off, and that sounds like what the culpret is here.

 

Yeah, I usually hit rev limit at 7100, but it fluxed now and then. I finally broke down and got a small tach w/o the big homosexual light, works great. - Darell

 

lol I got the tach with the homo sexual light lol but it is the only tach I have the other one I sorta broke changing the cluster panel so maybe I need to get another tach and compare but I am pretty sure this one is right it is a auto meter I think that is a decent tach any other info would be appreciated thanks guys
