Distributor Rebuild
I had some oil leaking into the distributor housing and I'm replacing all the seals and cleaning it out. I went to honda to try to get the cicular seal at the base of the housing...where the the hole is. Anyways, the guy didnt know much, and he told me to point it out on the exploaded view...cept it wasnt there. Does anyone know the part number or where I can get it. Any help would be appriciated, the only help honda gave me was to buy a new housing for 300...screw that.
The parts guy didn't lie to you, the oil is perking up the shaft, honda has no rebuild parts available. If it gets too much oil inside the cap you'll start getting misfires.
By the way, since the RPM sensor is in there, and the CRK sensor is also messes with thoughs, which is what happened with me, the rpms went crazy then it died like twice on me. I have my old one in now, but its on its last leg.
cyberneo, the rpm sensor is in the distributor cap? and what did you mean by CRK sensor?. Cause im having problems with my tach too, it bounces around sometimes and at wide open throttle the car seems chuggish at times. thanks.

I used to get those seals from a company called Trans Pac Motor Parts Inc.
I haven't rebuilt any distributors in a long time, so I don't know if they still sell them, but you can try.
You can reach them at http://www.tpmpinc.com/
