Default Accord SIR H23a ..F20B2 . ..what would you guys do ?

ok here is my small story..

i have a prelude 97.. that is going near 100K KM soon .. ( 60K miles )
the tranny already seems to have gettin loose ( common problem to 97-98 prelude)
and few gear already grind when shifting at cold..and i don't have warranty cause i bought the car wrek and rebuild it up..

so ..i have lots of deals on engines..and right now i can get an F20B2 ( accord 97 SIR-T) with 5speed lsd tranny, 200PS blabla..
and i can also get a H23a DOHC vtec 200 PS but more torque from accord 00 SIR wagon in JDM land
he only problem is that the H23 is S-Matic tranny...and i need manuel
i could offer the guy to take the tranny from the F20B2 and put it on theH23a wich i could buy for a right price

i NEED AND WANT LSD ..
or ... i could do as i planned..rebuild my engine this winter..few minor imporvements on it -- raised CR .. manual port polish..balancing
and wait till i can get my hands on a accord EURO R H22a LSD tranny wich i think will be fuc** rare and i'm not even sure to have it before next summer

what would you guys do ?

keep in mind that i can sell my engine and get the H23a or the F20B2 wihtout any loss in $$ ..

the thing i'm afraid of is the ECU from the automatic H23a .. i can't use it nah ?
automatic ecus are the same than manual nah ?
and if this engine puts 200PS with automatic tranny..i'm sure it could blast out more using H22a manual tranny and ECU ..

let me know what u think ..

tanx..

BTW!!! ME WANT A ****** JDM ACCORD 01 EURO R!!!! they are just the ****!!
ah..and yeah..i found ACCORD TYPE R from germany is 212ps H22a left hand drive

maybe i should import that ..ahahah

yeah that's a hard engine to get a hold of, just sell the lude, get an accord, slap that SIR engine in there, that'd be tyte.

That's a tough choice. The F20B is a fabulous engine. It's very similar to the H22 but its better rod/stroke ratio allows it to rev higher and make just as much power. It is down on torque compared to the H22 however. As far as I know, Honda never made a H23 DOHC VTEC, so that must be some hybrid motor. If I were you I'd either get a new tranny and build up the current motor, or by a cheap H22 and go all out on it before putting it in the car.

http://www.honda.co.jp/ACCORDwagon

SIR and SIR 4WD are H23 DOHC VTECs ...200PS and 22.5KG torque with an automatic tranny..

yes honda have H23 VTEC DOHC
mm

i'm thinking more an more about that enigne though serioisuly..
using my ECU ..
and the F20B2 tranny or My tranny if i can't get lsd for now ..

i know that the F20B2 is an excellent enigne..
the only problem is the lack of internal parts made for it, the casi non existant ressources to mod it..and the incompatibility for most h22a inter parts..
... + my car is OBD2 and i can't change that to stay within racing rules
and can't get chipped ecu for my car yet so
eheh

maybe i could only get the H23a engine and use my tranny for now
and get an lsd tranny later on..
eheh

Ooo ooo yes I see, there is a H23 DOHC VTEC. That must be a new motor.

new motor from 99 and up ..
new half model of accord..

solo 1 and 2 racing..

so i think it's a go for the H23a
i'm gonna go check it out soon..to see if it got the holes to put the power steering on it cause JDM accord SIR = electric steering rack

i think it will..cause it's mainly a 2.3 block with h22a..can't see why they would've removed the holes..

i should run it with my H22a ecu
and i hope i can get some good money for my engine so all this costs nothing or ends up beeing really cheap

i have to remove the front bumper soon neway to replace the inner bumper frame so i'll do swap same time..so no scratches on my beuatifull bumper
eheh

tell me why don't we have theese accords in here..mmm 98 SIR-T ..what i would give to get that ehhe

Ha whoa dude your ECU don't matter. Once you put a non-North American market motor in your car you'll be knocked into a class of modified cars that will whoop you.
