SINCE I HAVE SWAPPED MY LS IN TO MY HATCH I HAVE RECEIVED THIS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IT DOES NOT COME ON AS SOON AS U TURN THE CAR ON BUT IT COMES ON ABOUT 30SECS AFTER... IM NOT SURE WHAT THE HELL COULD BE CAUSING THIS. it sucks the car idles all funny for about 10mins then it idles at normall about 500 rpm real clean.. o yea i even dropped the ls radiator in my car i had to modify the radiator support since i dont have a/c i just cut off the ac mounts and took off the stock lil bitty stock cx radiator mounts and rewelded them farther apart... yea it looks nice anyways help me please..

 

on the factory SOHC engine there is a sensor on the firewall.. with a vacume line connecting it to the intake.. on the LS engine the sensor is right on the TB (right in the middle on top).. you need to take the plug off of the firewall sensor and plug it in to the TB one.. don't use the one thats on the LS harness.. it doesn't work..

hey thanks man i appreciate it i was working on my car in the dark last night and i changed out the drivers side motor mount cuz it was shredded and i could not find what u were talking about only loose vacuum line was from a canister on the fire wall and the plug that was loose was from bum **** egypt but only check enigne i have is idle air control so the car still runs cherry just rough for first maybe ten mins.. till it warms up to me.. lol

 

what wiring harness are you using?

 

are you talking about the map sensor? because the IACV is on the back of the intake manifold

 

im using my wiring harness from my sohc motor and the engine harness also from my sohc vtec motor.. but it would not work properly with the ls wiring harness that is why i had to switch up the harness and use all civic wiring on the ls motor. and change over everything and all the wiring hooks up perfect now with the ls engine harness and my civic car harness it was misisng first piston would not fire sounded like a machine gun going down the street until we swapped it . to the civic engine harness and now it works fine except for the iac check engine..
