98 EX + GSR ECU

Default 98 EX + GSR ECU

i met this dude last night...said he swapped his stock obd2 EX uec for a obd2 GSR ecu. anyone know if this will work?

why would he swap those?dohc for sohc, for a sohc motor?

Probably didnt change the engine, only changed the ECU, i dont think thats a good idea...being that on is DOHC and the other is SOHC i dont think the engine will run right...

thats what I mean, why would he swap a sohc ecu running a sohc. And get a dohc ecu running a sohc motor. Especcialy if that car has vtec, that seems like that would make it work. I guess the genius thinks that because it's gsr it must be really fast. what an idiot

i had a friend put a 00 Si ecu in his 00 ex, he said it he felt a noticable gain.

Right, the programmed fuel injection is different from the EX and Si ECU's from DOHC to SOHC, RPM and vtec are set differently when activated. Si ECU will not be able to read correctly on an EX so I think your friend is just BS'in.
