Default will they?

hey everyone, i ordered a set of ground control coilovers for my 2000 civic but they sent me coilovers for the 88-91 year civics and i was wondering if i could still use those or do i need to complain and have them send me the ones for a 2000 year model?

Ground Control is well known for their customer service. Just give 'em a call I'm sure they'll help you out.

I believe the ones you have will fit (not 100% certain), but you might want the ones designed for your car since the spring rates are probably different.

wow, thanks for the super quick reply. i was also wondering if there was a rule of thumb when adjusting the perch setting on the coilovers for the heights? and i noticed that the coilover spring is really short and doesn't reach the top of the shock unless the perch is set really high, is that normal?

The springs are short so they'll lower the car; in other words, yes it's normal. With the car still on stands, if you'd like, you can compress the suspension with your jack and you can see how the spring goes right into place in the top hat.

AFAIK, there's no set way of determining height or wheel gap according to the threads. I think it probably varies from car to car. I just set mine at close to full height, dropped the car, saw how it looked, then played around with the perches until I got it the way I wanted it.

I must say, that allen wrench system GC uses is soooo much quicker and easier than those stupid spanner wrenches or whatever that most other coilovers use. Makes adjusting height super easy.

I'm pretty sure that it won't be the same for you but I have my coilovers set at 6-7 threads UNDER the perch and I have 0 gap on my sol. But like I said, it might differ.
