Default 94 accord suspension problem

I have just installed some AGX struts and some dropzone coil overs then lowered the car almost three inches, the problem is when i raise then lower the car i have a problem with getting the coil overs to stay in place because of the travel of the struts, i had a friend suggest to use some cables to hold the spring slightly compressed will this hold/ or work?

if you want the spring to be compressed, an actual spring compressor is really going to be your best bet, you dont want to do anything ghetto when dealing with stuff like this
