Default Jsut a comment about Honda-Tech from teh newbie

Having come from the VW faithful a I was a frequent visitor to the VWVortex forums.

I never really liked the attitude of some of the people that post there. Don't get me wrong, some are really cool and would bend over backwards to help you, but others would rather just crap on you for asking a question they think you should know on your own.

Most of the people on the VWVortex are super cool and as long as you have your flame suit on that is the palce to go if you need help with your VW.

I have not run into any of that lame attitude here at honda-tech. You ask a question, no matter how lame you think it is someone will post to help you, not just flame you. It seems that the flames that do come up are purely in jest. It also seems that you don't have to be part of the "crew" here to get answers or to join in the conversation.

I do understand that people should search for things first, but on the VWVortex you just get flames not answers if you repost a topic. Here you get the usual "should have searched" but you also get an answer or a link to help you get the info you need.

This is not meant to be a dig to the VWVortex ( I still go there often to read and offer help) but it was nice to see that the honda-tech community is a bit nicer to deal with (also makes it not as bad that I "sold out" to the honda. I do love my R!)

I hope the attitude around here stays this good and you guys don't prove me wrong.

Thanks for listening/ reading

This site is excellent for help, advise, and opinions. I usually have a good idea about the answers to the questions I've posted but need some reassurance. I'v never waited more than a few minutes for responses. I used to be a frequent visitor to several other sites but haven't seen them for a while. HT is better than ****... Thanks to all the fellas that have helped a fellow R owner out.

H-T is really one of the few Honda related tech information forums.

If you want rice, go visit ClubSi or something

Am I the only one who thinks the spirit of this post is contradicted by the avatar which appears next to it?
