Im having problems with the distributor and ati ( ati? no sure aboutt he name ) sensor.

What to do with the distributor? car isnt starting, I have spark, gas, all you can imagine and it just wont start. Car was starting before with this engine and now it doesnt.

we had the y8 distributor housing with the z6 componets, car was starting fine bu sometimes wont just start at all, it also couldnt pass 4K rpms, like a rev limiter there, we tried a lot of stuff trying to get rid of that "rev limiter" and now car wont even start with the stuff we had before.

right now we dont have the o2 sensor installed ( would this cause the car not to start? )

we changed fuel pump, fuel filter, rotor, rotor cap, spark plug wires and spark plugs.

nothing yet!

 

are u throwing any codes? maybe recheck all the wires on your ecu... jus a suggestion

 

IAT?? Intake air temp. u prolly have the wronge plug to it. or its not pluged in. on the d16y8 intake manifold there is no place to put the IAT sensor. so u prolly forgot to un screw it from the z6 and plug it in the harness.

also for the dizzy. search around their are some pictures floating around.
but ill go take some pics of mine. and post them later. its lunch time right now.

their are i believe 2 wires u have to change around. i just cut the harness off my y8 dizzy, and used the harness of a z6 dizzy, and matched the colors up. and it worked great.

pm me if u have any other problems. i have done the swap and had problems myself.
