92 accord dx!!!!
ok i was walking down my street and a local dealership had a 1992 auto accord dx for sale for 3gz. it has 150xxx miles on it so i looked it up and its only worth like 785 or sumthing (i forgot) so do you guys think i should give them 1grand for it? the interior is very nice for a 92 and it has a flat tire with a baseball size dent on the front left fender. so since im new to accords what motor can swap into it besides a h22??? like a d-seires motor??? but since ive already wrecked 1 car and got 1 stolen im not lookin to put alot into this car i might even keep it an auto so basiclly on a buget of 4grand what would you all do with this car??? (sry for the essay but i get A's in my english class

you sure about that
anyways, a d series will not swap into your car, unless you spend a lot of money to get it in there and all lined up. its not even worth it considering the d series engines dont even have enough torque to begin to push these heavy beasts around. any other f series (other than the s2000 f20c) will swap into this car, and of course as you mentioned, the h22 and also the h23 will swap in. h22 is really the only other engine you would want to swap in there unless you have turbo dreams on ur mind, then you would want to keep the engine you have if it checks out all good for turbo, or you could swap in a h23 or another f series and you are good to go for a turbo setup (again just as long as the engine is in good condition for turbo).
last i checked a car like that would cost more than 785, accords hold their value very well.. hell my 90 DX is priced around 2500 or so, to me its worth way more than that, but thats only because i love it so much
i would try to talk them down to 1 grand tho, they might not budge too far tho, depending on the dealer. my dealership tried sellin mine at 4500 and i bought it for cost (1350). so who knows, maybe you have hope for 1 grand. good luck with it tho, itll treat you well

I bet you can get it for $1500, but you aren't going to get them much lower than that. And, if you get it for that price, and the AC and everything works, it will be well worth it.

get the entire turbo setup from a 1st gen DSM.......redrill the holes in the turbo manifold......bolt everything up......do a little FM and maybe get some custom piping done, and BOOM, turbo for around $1K

i got my 90 accord with turbo for 1000 tha guy thought the motor was blown and all it needed was a head gasket so i put a new one in and it runs just fine now buh i still needa fix my hood and winsheild and the heater anyone have any idea on y it dont work the fuses are ok buh im thinking it's the blower motor well let me knoe ok thanks
Way over priced for that year Accord, what with the body rash and the almost obligatory corrosion in the rear quarters.
You're most likely going to spend that again getting it inspection worth (unless the UCL will inspect it for u)
Don't go below 2.2L. You need all the engine (torque - wise) that you can muster.
It can be a great car, but the devil is in the details.
