Well I'm kind of in a bind here. I just purchased a PY Type-R on 11/18/01. It has some mods on it (I'm in the process of trying to find out what they did because more than likely, they probably ruined the balance of the car)...Well, first off I notice that the car is lowered and upon closer inspection, the stock shocks are installed with yellow springs. I'm assuming Neuspeed Race but I'm going to have to take a wheel off to take a closer look. That's where the stock ITR springs come in. I'm thinking that these ?yellow? springs are going to ruin the stock shocks in a matter of months. I can't pay much for them because the new R is putting a decent dent in the pocketbook, but I'm a fair person. If you've got some springs just sitting around, please let me know. Also, I have some factory dampers AND springs from a 00 Civic Si (my previous car) just sitting around (they've only got about 4000 miles on them). I know that won't do any good for a Type-R, but if you know someone that could use these parts, maybe we can do a trade or something? Thanks for your consideration.

kf - are you si springs and shocks assembled as units? If so they are fully assembled, I might take it off your hand.

Thanks for all of the replies. Before I can buy anything, I'm going to see how I'm doing financially once I start making car payments and once the holiday season is over. I'm going to pull a wheel off tonight and find out what the hell kind of springs are installed. Thanks again.
