Default What's with this lip???

Okay, I've seen a number of people who rock this rear lip...

They claim that it's OEM for 96-98, is this correct? And part 2 of my question is why??? I think it looks out of porportioned to the rest of the car, especially considering the lack of standard equipment USDM 96-98 front lips. Not to mention that the lines don't flow at all.

I seen it on a couple of cars as well and it is the 96-99 lip or something. If you have painted side skirts like the EX does and a nice front lip it looks really good all together.

Yes, that's an OEM lip. It was optional for only the 1996-1998 Honda Civic sedans and coupes. It will not fit the 1999-2000 model unless you get rid of all its mounting hardware and use your own to make it fit the bumper. It's subjective whether you think it flows with the car or not, but when it's matched to the optional '96-'98 OEM front lip that was available through US Honda dealers, it looks pretty good, IMO. I wanted this rear lip, but it is no longer in production, and it wouldn't go with my SiR front lip.

That's what I mean. I think it needs a lower lip, like a Fugen or something. That would even it out a bit in my mind. It just looks too intense for an Sir lip.
