Puckett Race Header for 88-91 Civic/CRX... Make Offer
Up for consideration by you budget basement racers is a "Seen Better Days" custom Puckett race header for 88-91 D series cars. I know it fits the Si, DX and Standard and may fit some others as well. I was going to keep it as a spare, but I'm tired of tripping over it in the garage.
The Bad...
- It was header wrapped for a while and thus looks like ****. It'd likely be better off if it were rewrapped.
- Theres a hole about the size of a quarter just downstream from the collector where the tab that bolted it to the exhaust was ripped off in an off course adventure. I believe it to be repairable.
- There are hairline cracks in 3 of the primarys that were also (I;m assuming) caused by the same excursion that put the hole in the bottom. Another crack from last year has already been rewelded, so these should be fixable in the same manner.
- Front is slightly dented from an off over 2 years ago. If this effected performance it was so small it isn't noticable on the dyno or the *** dyno.
The Good...
- Its a custom Puckett race (RACE, not STREET. It will not bolt up to a cat without fabrication and has no 02 bung) header. THE most popular and successful D series header out there. Its also known as the Delta Group and OPM header... Same thing made by the same guy.
- It finished 2 races at VIR in this condition... Won both of them. So it aint pretty and it needs some work, but its easily labelled as "usable."
New these things list for about $400. I'm taking best offer plus actual shipping cost. Will email a picture upon request.
IM if *seriously* interested, and please understand what you are buying.
TIA
