Default d16a1 out of 88 integra, is it worth the trouble??

hey guys, i have a stock 89 hf and got a hold of a d16a1 out of an 88 integra. is it worth the effort to swap the dohc engine in, and if so, about how much hp will i gain?? also, will it bolt right in, bolt up to the tranny, and will the stock ecu work. im just wondering if it would be worth the effort to put it in until i can afford a b16a1 vtec swap. kinda limilted on funds, ya know. any help would be appreciated.

You'll be gaining 56hp...but 2 bolts wont line up when mounting the tranny and block plus you'll need a custom mount on the driver side. Stupidslowcrx has done this swap you should talk to him for more info.

so you think its worth the trouble to do?? i probably won't be able to afford a b16 until this winter, so maybe it would be ok to put it in just for fun. plus, its in the shop gettin painted and getting the rest of the body kit mounted. at least if i did it, i'd have a little more *** to it, instead of just lookin good but goin slow, ya know. and how do i get ahold of the guy you were talkin about??

IMHO a D16A1 swap into a 4g isn't worth it. It really is a giant PITA to swap it in and there are much better options like a Z6 or Y8.
