No spark on distributor.
I 'm not getting spark. or enough spark.
I swapped distributors with my cousin and car fired right up. He didn't quite have the time to stay and swap cap and rotors but atleast i was able to diagnose that the car was unable to start because of the distributor. So, i go get cap and rotor and turns out that they must be fine cause the car still didn't turn on.
So, can the ignitor be changed or do i need a new distributor?
If so, where can i get one for an affordable price? So far, i know i can get one from Kragen for $200.
Thanx guys

its most likely the coil. do a quick test with a test light. take off the dist. cap and tap into the positive side of the coil with a piece of electrical wire. it needs to be long enough to be routed outside of the cap. put the cap back on. attach one side of the test light to the piece of wire, and put the pointed end of the test light to a good ground. have someone crank the engine over. the test light should flash, indicating igniter signal to the coil. if it doesn flash/no spark to plug(s) = bad igniter. flashes, but no spark to plug(s)= bad coil.
