Default Spoon 70mm TB

I was curious to know how many ITR's out there are running the Spoon or BBK equivalent 70m throttle body. I woud think that 70mm is a little large, but i could be wrong. I am about to purchase a 66mm billet TB from jdmhondaparts.com, but am stuck between the two. Any info would be of help. thanks

well isn't the 70mm spoon tb tapered like most overbored tb's? so its not 70mm throughout, it goes down to like 66mm or something?

correct me if im wrong.

I have the Spoon...the actual plate (which makes the difference) isnt 70mm..its stock size. Just the end tapers out to 70mm..i havent dynoed it yet..but i did feel a difference in mid-range.

Yeah it comes with stock throttle plate and SPOON only bore it out to 70mm, it's tapered in shape not straight into the throttle plate. This will help on throttle response and gain some power at the mid range.

would this (spoon TB) be beneficial with a skunk2 intake manifold + all motor setup?

I saw it somewhere in a HK magazine that said Spoon has a new TB that is 70mm all the way. Anyone have more info on this?

yeah the spoon tb is only tapered to 70mm on the inlet side. the throttle plate and outlet are still stock.

if you want proof pick up the latest and greatest hyper rev and they have a two page ad in the back showing the stock and bored one side by side...

How would that 68mm Holley perform for my set-up? Check my mods below.

Would it hurt my low-end?

if I put the 68mm holley on my S2 manifold, would it really help out mid-range and top end? My mid and top is already killa strong already.

Would it hurt low-end?
