Default Hondata reflash for dc5, rev limiter question

Ok i went to Hondatas site and noticed they offer 2 differnt reflashes for the dc5 base. An M1, which does its thing without changing the rev limit. The M2 does the same but also changes the rev limit to 7300. What would be the benefits of this? What about the 6800 redline im occustomed to now, can going past that 68 mark hurt my engine or is that the purpose of the reflash with rev limit change. The reason im asking is because they are the same price and want to know if one has a particular advantage over the other? Thanks in advance.

7300 rev limit probably won't hurt your engine too much if you aren't there often.

benefit to that would be a wider powerband and when you shift into the next gear, you will be higher up on the powerband. It will be a little riskier, since that is 500 extra rpms, but if you're into it, then go for it..

nice to see another OC head ... ;P
