hello peeps, i had just bought a 99 gsr and unfortunately the guy i got it from had some nasty looking 18" chrome rims on it, i have a friend that had put 18" 350z rims on his maxima and it fuckd up his alternator and water pump and some other stuff, so i was wondering if i should be worried about anything on my teggy. the rims are 18"x7.5"

Other than bottoming out, you can't really do anything that will hurt anything.

I had em for like 8 mnths, then sold em. back on my ls webs . it will rub ur wheel well if it is as low as mine. otherwise its

 

it should be fine as long as the offset is correct for the application.

Rolling fenders is simple and easy, anyone with a baseball bat and some time could do it.

I got 10 spoke with chrome lip 18's on my integra with low profile tires, and its lowered about 2 inchs in the front and 1.75 in the back and the fender sits right above the tire but it sometimes hits over big bumps. Im goin to roll my fenders you should do same if u get 18's and lower it. 18's on a integra

 

I got 18's and lowered no problems just rubs every now and then.

 

WTF, Im on 15 and lowered 2 inch front, 1.75 back. and on hard turn i hear noise which is my my tire making contact with something is the wheel well... and im not on gay suspension, sp3 koni yellow/neuspeed race... how can you guys bare with 18???

 

What size rims you think i should put on a DA??

 

I don't think putting rims on is going to screw up the altenator and water pump. The only way on a teg it would be harmful is towards performance since they're so heavy and big.

the only thing 18's can destroy is your curb and unsprung weight and possibly your fenders.

Can't happen, Just make sure they fit and do not rub. Can you say slow?

what size tire/ offest are you running?

higher top speed, just take you forever to get there. besides making your integra look gay. 18s = not for integras.

 

15" roats baby! 2"drop all around is prefect!

i have motegi mr7s on my 90 teg i slammed that thing way down on my tokico blues and ground control to drive to a show once and it did not rub at all. it was tucking in the front and back.
but they are for sale b/c they are really heavy and the 35 tires ride rough on my bumpy *** dirt road. p/m if interested in them.

 

15" blades and slammed on gc coilovers/yellows....

and uh yea...rims cannot make your car break down like that, but i dont recommend anything bigger than 16s on tegs, they dont seem to look right and will make your not so fast car even slower.

They look ok but ur right he does have alot of ground clearence. My gsr lowerd on factory 15's sits way lower tha that

 

i want to get some rims but i dont know what size.. i want to be about the same size they are now (bigger rims smaller tires) Right now i got 15'inch rims with 55series tires.. would it even out with 17's and 40series?? or maybe 16's with 45 series anyone know?
