In my quest to make my car more enjoyable to daily drive, I've decided to fix all the annoying little problems that have crept up over time.

Sometimes when I start the car (88 hatch, B16A) my autoguage tach's needle doesn't move, and my heater doesn't work at all, no matter what the setting, it won't blow any air... these two problems happen only at the same time, so I figure they're related. If I shut the car off and restart it, 8/10 times it'll fix itself, but it's very annoying. I have the tach grounded to the cigarette lighter ground, if that helps.
