i know that honda and acura are the same damn company but when was the last time you heard someone say they had a honda integra??? well this guy did... http://members.ebay.com/ebaymo...civic Just thought i would share this, i got a kick out of it
so what, i have honda emblems on my integra, i think they look better than that gay A, i mean i dont tell people i have a honda integra, bc most people would just look at you like a dumbass, i mean come one though, theres only like 5 places on the car it says acura, and like a bazillion that says honda...i just dont like the whole idea of acura, it was named that bc americans thought of hondas as cheap econobox cars, so by naming it acura it fooled the public into thinking it was some new luxury brand no one had heard of, north america is the only place there are acuras, everywhere else they are hondas, so go figure, i dont understand why its still so hard to understand, i try to explain it to people sometimes and they never knew acura and honda were related
but who knows if this guys car was really and xsi it would be a honda, but i doubt it is, however im not the expert on 2nd gen integras

my thoughts as well, except i just took all of my emblems off so the only thing on my car that says acura on it now is my steering wheel!

well i have a new steering wheel so no acura there, actually it does still say it on my stock cd player, but oh well thats tiny, and possibly no more emblems at all once i take off the wing and shave the emblems, not sure if i will though, the thing that makes me laugh the most is when i see riced out stunna rednecks see my car and say something like: "oh snap dawg that AK-a-RA has honda emblems on it y0!!"......it makes me laugh everytime, maybe me having honda emblems instead of acura is my way of rebelling against what thugs, ricers, and stunnas (if theres a difference btw any of those demographics lol) think is a cool car, bc everyone knows just bc acuras cost more, they are way cooler to put dubs on than hondas

yea, its honda, we all know it is, but i call it my acura integra cause people are stupid...even though the ****** engine, let alone every other part of the car, has HONDA MOTOR COMPANY written allllll over it
Basically, we drive an acura steering wheel with honda replacement parts all around it
who cares...to each his own
[and we all know that most acuras ARE nicer than hondas...]

i consider my acura integra as HONDA every parts of usdm acura says honda panels, engine, glasses/windows etc....... almost all of it i believe .....
Whats funny is that people go as far as changing emblems to rep their "Honda Pride" why don't you all just tattoo a big H on your foreheads.

THAT IS WRONG! Acura was created to allow the import of more "hondas" to the US when they first were introduced... "Honda" had a specific quota, so they created acura to double the # of cars allowed to be imported.

yeah, lots of people put the Honda "H" emblem on they're Acuras.... i dunno, i dont mind it.... the only thing i cant understand is when people put the Acura "A" upside down... whats that s'posed to mean? someone once told me that the Acura "A" is "just a bent upside-down Honda emblem"......
um, okay.....?
um, okay.....?

that may be the case also, but i do know that i read somewhere, maybe car and driver, i cant remember, that they did a test market in north america for the new honda vehicles and people responded better to them being called acuras rather than hondas, im sure they are both partial reasons, i suppose people couldnt handle driving a nice car, then some of thier friends see them and find out they have a honda
, but you have to remember this was when american cars were still the big thing or what most americans preferred anyways

BS, all Acura models are more expensive and are nicer than their Honda counterparts, which is the reason for the marque. Civics don't come w/ leather, Integras and RSX's do. It's the luxury-sport brand for Honda, just like Lexus and Infiniti. I guarantee you that not as many NSX's would have been sold in this market if it was sold at Honda dealers, vs. being sold at Acura. Americans would not want to pay $80K for a Honda, but they will pay that much for an Acura.
