RSR ExMag 2 door exhaust - fitment to a 4 Door GSR
Hi folks,
I want an RSR ExMag exhaust for my gsr sedan, but RSR doesn't make them.
I called RSR in California and dude told me to call Modacar as there was a rumor that the 2door civic model fit the 4 door gsr. That sounds a bit odd to me, but can anyone confirm that? I know a lot of parts are interchangable between the eg and dc, but 2door civic and 4 door gsr? I don't know?
I just got off the phone with Modacar 2 minutes ago and they couldn't confirm. I need a solid confirmation before I'm dropping 5 bills
, you know?
I think it's worth it for the RSR, but my next choice is Greddy SP2 for $475 shipped.
I just want a really quiet exhaust, and I REALLY want the RSR ExMag.
Any help is appreciated.

I am in the same predicament with my LS sedan. The RSR is by far my favorite, but I may end up with Apexi WS, comptech, or greddy as well...
Is it possible to simply find the rear section of the RSR and get the rest of the exhaust custom fabricated?

I am almost positive that would work, however, the likelihood of location an rsr rear section is slim to none.
I did that with my 94 hatch. I got an OBX catback and dumped the ugly loud rear section, swapped it with a jdm sirII (hatch) model rear section, and voila! fits perfect!
I do know that some exhaust companies utilize a different "straight through" pathway for the piping, and thus negating your theory.
Hmm...
Still need some help here, anybody?

it will work. I put my RS*R Exmag from my civic coupe onto my friends 95 GSR 4-dr and it fits. Worst case scenario would require you to extend the piping(from front of resonator) a little bit. my friend wanted to keep my RS*R after he saw it work
BTW I hope you know the 2/4 door civic has the same wheel base as the 4-door integra. so that will show you it will work.
2/4 door civic: 103.1 in
4-door integra: 103.1 in

yes if it's a ls 4-door. the only thing that makes the GSR and LS different is the cat, one is longer then the other(I don't remember which one is longer, LS I'm thinking)

I think the GSR is longer, but I know someone that can confirm. Scott?
Sleeperciv: Thanks for the great info.

I'm assuming you had to extend it a bit?
Anyone else tried this before? I'm sure some have.

GSR exhaust manifold is shorter, and has no bung for the O2 sensor. The bung for the GSR is in the cat.
LS manifold is longer, and has the bung for the O2 sensor welded in. The LS cat has no O2 sensor bung. The cats are the same length, only difference is one has the O2 bung and one doesn't.
LS cat back is about 4 inches shorter then the GSR counter-part (due to the added length of the header).

What about the 92-95 hatch?
Is the catback the same as my teg sedan? I have one already!!!
Probably not.

According to sleeperciv, it will, however, you will have to lengthen the pipe by the cat.
I'm just going with the Greddy SP for sedan, unless my eg hatch(3door) will fit.
I'll keep you posted, please do the same.

Given the information above and the fact that the GSR catback piping is approx 4in. longer than the ls?, then I can only
assume
that the integra ls sedan and the 2/4 door civic cat backs are interchangeable 100%. If I were to swap a 2/4 door civic cat back on my 94 gsr sedan, I would have to lengthen the cat or make an extension somewhere in the vicinity of 4 inches, right?
Anybody tried this?

Off topic,
but on my previous car, I had a rsr exhaust my for 93 Integra LS (2-door). I sold it to a guy with with a 92 Integra LS (4-door). He originally had planned on extending the piping and so forth, but he told me it bolted right on to his 4-door with no problems and modifications.

Here is the RS*R Ex-Mag on my LS sedan. This is actually a GS-R version that I managed to find after they discontinued RS*R products in the U.S. 4 or 5 years ago. It was basically the last one in CA, so I just had a muffler shop cut and re-weld the piping to make it fit my LS. They did a really good job, and it only took a few minutes.
Thanks for the info.
Lookin good too
Apparantly RSR Japan makes the 4 door gsr exhaust system.
I don't know of any other quiet exhaust like this. Well except maybe itr exhaust...
