non timing light timing

Default non timing light timing

is it posable to check the timing with out a timing light? I think my timing is WAY TOO retard and at this time i cant afford a timing light

yeah you just have to go by ear and feel. also turn your crank until the lone timing mark is in line with the sight arrow on the timing belt cover. then mark the center pos. of the # spark plug on the edge of the dist.. take off the dist. cap and make sure rotor is pointing at that mark. to advance timing turn the dist. towards the firewall.

you can do it by ear but everyone in here is going to say dont be a cheap *** and go buy a gun. But if you want do it by ear. I do that sometimes.
